  SO... WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO?? This latest 2016 Holiday season was a DOOZY. Over 150 portrait sessions, and 5 weddings just in the last three months of the year alone. WHEW! I tried to hibernate once January started, but that hasn't worked out well either- i just can't seem to shake all you amazing clients!
    I did give my website a facelift, with some new colors and branding, as well as all new portfolio images- so if you have a few minutes and want to check it out- click HERE!

    Just this last week, I had a REALLY special session, I wanted to share on here. One of my lovely 2017 brides, Hazel, contacted me about going to a very special location for her engagement shoot. As soon as she told me, I immediately agreed! We went to the Almond Groves in Bakersfield, Ca. We had a very specific window in which to shoot, and we timed it perfectly, so we could get all the amazing white blossoms on the trees.

   William & Hazel are a beautiful couple, who have been together since they were only 16! They are the sweetest. Here are a few (or a LOT!) of my favorite shots from their day! Also, at the bottom, ill post the instagram link to a little ENGAGEMENT VIDEO I made!

Eric & Jana Engagement . . . Laguna Beach Engagement

I spent a lot of time google-earth-ing (is that a word) the gorgeous shore of laguna beach, looking for the prettiest spots for the engagement shoot for Eric and Jana. We ended up going to the Montage, which is a spectacular resort and hotel!

     There were so many spots to visit, I was totally overwhelmed! Jana really wanted to get that natural hazy sun glow of the late afternoon, so we headed right to the sand. The tide was coming in, so we had quite a few outtakes as we ran from the crashing waves! The sunset was glorious, and I have more silhouette photos than I know what to do with!

     I spent some time this afternoon picking our and editing a few favorites!

I was lucky enough to photograph this gorgeous girls senior photos a few years ago- here is my favorite shot from that day!


 


And here are a few sneak peek shots from our engagement session today! We literally walked across the street from my house into these beautiful rolling green hills of wine country. And as far as couples go- they are pretty adorable!!

    They are getting married in May of this year at the Provo City Center Temple in Utah. I am trying to convince her mom to have me travel up there so i can shoot their wedding!

Aren't they gorgeous?? I love my job!

Heidi & nate engagement sneak peek! Orange County Engagement Photography

i had such a fun time with these two last weekend! we met at the historic district in San Juan Capistrano for some fun, and sweet engagement photos. They are wonderful- but a bit of an aesthetic challenge- seeing that she is barely five feet tall and he is 6'2!

 but i loved being able to capture some sweet lovin, and cant wait for their wedding in a couple of months!
